albot Farm is situated in the “Trout Triangle” high up in the hills between Dullstroom and Machadodorp on the Elandsfontein road.

It is a two and a quarter hour drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria on the N4 to Nelspruit, all on tar roads bar the last seven kilometers which is on a dirt road. The farm is a self-catering facility.

The farm comprises 280 hectares of spectacular hills and valleys with awesome views. There are three well stocked trout dams, a manager’s house, Talbot house, Ribbok and Suikerbossie cottages. The farm is also home to Blesbok, Rhebok, Zebras, donkeys, a Shetland pony and a couple of geese. About one hundred and fifty different bird species have been spotted! Jackal, genet, serval cats, porcupine, aardwolf, brown hyena, duiker and dassies are also frequently spotted. Fish eagles and a host of water birds frequent the dams

The farm lends itself to fishing, birding, walking, mountain-biking and just plain relaxing.

We are well known for our still water trout fishing and practice catch and release. Whilst the trout do breed in all of the dams a comprehensive stocking program is employed which ensures good catches throughout the year.

The water on the farm is all “first water” with the river systems origination on the farm. The houses are all supplied with this mineral water which is then put through a very thorough filtration system ensuring pristine water at all times. You even shower and bath in mineral water at Talbot!

We are also now in the position to offer mini mid-week conferences and team building as the recent upgrade to Talbot House has seen the introduction of an overhead projector, drop down screen with all the computer connections and sound facilities. The ideal place to brainstorm, plan your business strategy or to just reward your team.
